If you want to move your domain from GigaGlobe to another registrar, you can initiate a transfer out at any time. Here's what you need to do.
Preparation Steps
- Ensure the domain has been registered or transferred for at least 60 days (ICANN requirement).
- Ensure the domain is not within 15 days of expiry.
- Log in to the client portal and go to Domains > My Domains.
- Click Manage next to the domain.
- Disable the registrar lock (Transfer Lock) by toggling it off.
- Click Get EPP Code — it will be emailed to the registrant email address.
Completing the Transfer
- Go to your new registrar and initiate a domain transfer.
- Enter the domain name and provide the EPP code.
- Pay the transfer fee at the new registrar (typically includes a one-year extension).
- Approve the transfer confirmation email sent to the registrant's email.
- The transfer completes within 5-7 days.
Tip: Your website and email will continue working during the transfer as long as you do not change DNS or nameserver settings.
Note: After the transfer completes, manage the domain through your new registrar. Any remaining time on your registration is preserved.
