Renewing Your Domain

Domains must be renewed before they expire to ensure you don't lose ownership. GigaGlobe makes it easy to manage your renewals.

Auto-Renewal (Recommended)

  1. Log in to the client portal and go to Domains > My Domains.
  2. Click Manage next to the domain you want to configure.
  3. Toggle the Auto Renew option to On.
  4. Ensure you have a valid payment method on file.

With auto-renewal enabled, your domain will be renewed automatically 14 days before expiry and the invoice charged to your default payment method.

Manual Renewal

  1. Go to Domains > My Domains.
  2. Click Renew next to the domain.
  3. Select the renewal period (1-10 years).
  4. Complete the payment.

Grace Periods

  • Renewal Grace Period — Most domains have a 0-45 day window after expiry where you can still renew at normal price.
  • Redemption Period — After the grace period, a redemption fee (often $80-$150+) may apply to recover the domain.
Warning: If you miss both the grace and redemption periods, the domain is released to the public and anyone can register it. Enable auto-renewal to avoid losing your domain.
