We spin up your hosting account on our servers with a temporary hostname like customer.staging.gigaglobe.com. The whole site runs there until we're ready to flip DNS — no impact on your live traffic.
Time: 5 minutes.
rsync from your origin to our destination. We run it twice — once for the bulk transfer, once right before cutover to catch incremental changes. Sites with media libraries above 5 GB get a separate parallel stream for wp-content/uploads.
Time: depends on size. ~10 minutes per GB on typical broadband.
A clean mysqldump from your origin. We import to the destination, then run a single search-and-replace pass over the serialized data to swap the URL from production to staging.
Time: usually under 5 minutes.
We hand you a staging URL. You click around — admin, customer-facing pages, checkout flow if applicable. Anything looks wrong, tell us and we fix before cutover. Most customers spend 15–30 minutes here.
Time: your call. We block on your sign-off.
24 hours before cutover we lower your A record TTL to 300 seconds. At cutover time, we change the A record to our server IP, mark the source site read-only, and watch traffic split for a few minutes until our destination is taking 100%.
Time: 5 minutes of actual change. We pick the time with you.
LetsEncrypt issues fresh certificates on our destination automatically. We keep your source-site certificate valid for 30 days as a fallback. Your old hosting account can be cancelled whenever you're ready.

Files, database, uploads, plugins, themes, custom code. With or without a WP-CLI accessible install.
Including customer data, orders, payment-gateway config. We coordinate gateway re-keying with you.
