Quick Navigation with Keyboard Shortcuts

DirectAdmin's Evolution skin includes keyboard shortcuts that help you navigate the control panel more efficiently. These shortcuts can save time if you frequently access specific sections.

Available Keyboard Shortcuts

The following shortcuts are available when using the Evolution skin:

• / (forward slash) - Open the search/command bar to quickly find features and settings.
• g then h - Go to the Home/Dashboard page.
• g then f - Go to the File Manager.
• g then e - Go to Email Accounts.
• g then d - Go to Domain Setup.
• g then b - Go to MySQL Databases.
• g then s - Go to SSL Certificates.
• ? (question mark) - Display the keyboard shortcuts help overlay.

Using the Search Bar

The search bar is one of the most powerful navigation tools in DirectAdmin:

1. Press / on your keyboard to open the search bar.
2. Start typing the name of the feature you are looking for (e.g., "cron", "email", "DNS").
3. Results will appear as you type. Use the arrow keys to highlight a result.
4. Press Enter to navigate directly to that feature.

Navigation Tips

• Use the breadcrumb navigation at the top of the page to quickly go back to parent sections.
• The sidebar menu can be collapsed by clicking the hamburger icon to give you more screen space.
• Right-clicking on menu items allows you to open sections in a new browser tab.
• Browser bookmarks work with DirectAdmin pages, so you can bookmark frequently used sections.
