Accessing Webmail

Roundcube is a web-based email client included with your DirectAdmin hosting account. It allows you to read, compose, and manage your email directly from any web browser without installing an email client.

How to Access Roundcube Webmail

You can access webmail using any of these URLs:

  • https://yourdomain.com/webmail
  • https://yourdomain.com:2222 (then click the Webmail link)
  • https://your-server-ip:2222/webmail
  1. Navigate to one of the webmail URLs above.
  2. Enter your full email address as the username.
  3. Enter your email account password.
  4. Click Login.

Roundcube Interface Overview

The Roundcube interface includes the following main areas:

  • Inbox - Your incoming messages. Unread messages are shown in bold.
  • Compose - Create a new email message with support for rich text formatting and attachments.
  • Sent - Messages you have sent.
  • Drafts - Messages you have saved but not yet sent.
  • Trash - Deleted messages (automatically purged after a configured period).
  • Junk/Spam - Messages flagged as spam by the server's spam filter.

Common Tasks in Roundcube

  • Compose Email - Click the Compose button. Enter the recipient's address, subject, and message body. Click Send.
  • Add Attachments - While composing, click the Attach button or the paperclip icon to upload files.
  • Create Folders - Right-click in the folder list and select New Folder to organize your email.
  • Search Email - Use the search bar at the top of the message list to find specific emails by sender, subject, or content.
  • Manage Contacts - Click the Contacts icon to add, edit, and organize your address book.

Email Signature

  1. Click Settings in the top-right area.
  2. Go to Identities.
  3. Click on your email address.
  4. Enter your signature text in the Signature field.
  5. Click Save.
Roundcube supports HTML signatures. Toggle the editor to HTML mode if you want to include formatted text, images, or links in your signature.
